Ogwashi Uku, the capital of Aniocha South Local Government Area, stood still on July 22 2021.
The ancient town was in awe, splendour and colourful especially, Ogbe Ubu quarters, as the late Madam ….Eneduwa George,was committed to mother earth by her children.
Indeed the town has never seen such a carnival-like burial and may wait a long time to witness such again. In fact, it will certainly not be in a hurry to forget the bench mark-like event as it will not only be a talking point for months or years if not decades to come.
That was what happened on that day as the woman who died at the grand old age of 80 years was laid to eternal rest by his son, Augstin Eneduwa-George and his other siblings.
The burial programme started with a service of songs at her residence, George. N. Eneduwa Street, Umuokwe Qrts, Ogwashi-Uku on July 22, 2021 . From there and in a colourful motorcade, the ceremony shifted to St. Patrick Catholic Church Umuokwe, Ogwashi Uku, for the funeral service.
The pale bearers did a spectacular display with the remains of the deceased contained in an immaculate white casket.
She died recently and according to a burial notice made available to newdawnngr, her burial programmes starts with service of songs at her residence, George. N. Eneduwa Street, Umuokwe Qrts, Ogwashi-Uku on July 22, 2021 . Funeral service will be at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Umuokwe, Ogwashi-Uku.
Interment follows at her residence on July 23, 2021 Just as reception of guests will take place at Event Centre, Aniocha South Local Government Area, GRA OGWASHI-UKU.
