Social and Economic Rights Project,SERAP, has threatened to take the Federal government to court over the ban on Tweeter.
It will be recalled that the decision to ban the social media provider from Nigeria was announced Friday by Information Minister,Lai Mohammed.
This came as a result of the corners decision to delete President Muhammad’s Buharis 1967 civil war tweet.
“We’re suing Nigerian authorities over their ILLEGAL indefinite suspension of Twitter in Nigeria.”
The organization twitted Friday

According to SERAP,”Nigerians have a right to freedom of expression and access to information including online, and we plan to fight to keep it that way.”
