Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa led Kano Pillars to frustrate Plateau United in a pulsating match that ended scoreless at the new Jos stadium.
Pillars coach Ibrahim Musa threw the duo of Ahmed Musa and Rabiu Ali to torment Plateau defence in the attacking formation which had Bright Silas and Nwangua operating from the wings with Ahmed Musa operating freely.
Plateau had a lot to chew in curtailing the forays of Pillars and it was Andrew Ikefe who led the defence to mount a resistance to the rampaging moves of Musa and his attacking gang.
Oche Ochowechi was impressive in the midfield, helping Plateau seize initiative and initiating attacks that pegged Pillars attacking moves.
After picking another point on the road, coach Ibrahim Musa will now shift concerns to the impending departure of Ahmed Musa on national assignment when Pillars host Enyimba in Kano.
“No doubt Ahmed will not be with the team in our game against Enyimba, we will make up for it and see how we will cope especially at home where he is fully accustomed to”, Musa told www.npfl.ng
