The Head Coach of Rivers United, Stanley Eguma, thinks that the 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season is highly competitive and open to many teams to possibly win the title.
Eguma while reacting to his team’s 1-1 draw with Kwara United in Ilorin on Wednesday told www.npfl.ng that any of the top six teams can still win the title given the trend of results.
“As it stands now, any team can win it and I believe that these two teams (Kwara United and Rivers United) are among title contenders.
“We know that the league is a race, it is not over until it is over and we will continue to look for points everywhere.
“It is still open, it is 50-50 for Kwara United, Rivers United, Enyimba, Akwa United, Kano Pillars and Nasarawa United” Eguma projected.
Eguma said his plans for the MatchDay 23 in Ilorin was to pick the maximum points after their last game at home against Abia Warriors ended in a draw.
