It is with shock that the President and members of the Creative Industry Group, CIG, read across the media the stance of CIG, purportedly propagated by Pretty Okafor claiming to speak through a Nosa Omoreige on certain issues concerning Multichoice and the Entertainment industry. Firstly as a citizen of the country and an ex-musician, Pretty Okafor of the defunct Pretty and Junior Group has a right to air his views on matters he feels strongly about. He is also free as an individual to represent a group with whom he is associated, if given the mandate as a leader, member or as delegated in such a group. With the above stated the Creative Industry Group has no onions to grind with him neither are we interested in such activities nor in support or otherwise of his intents and purpose. Our concern actually stems from his using the Creative Industry Group, CIG, platform in propagating his personal views to a discerning public without authorization or mandate.

Pretty Okafor
It must be stated clearly that CIG was founded by its incumbent President, Ambassador Felix Duke in 2018. The platform’s trademark is duly registered at the Ministry of trade and Investment with its registration number as NG/TM/O/2018/140091under Class 41. The Creative Industry Group has State coordinators nationwide and has since been involved with life changing activities for her members and the general public.Pretty Okafor had in the past tried discrediting us to our stakeholders, having laid claims of the CIG leadership by writing to Channels Television, Galaxy Television and the Lagos State government. He said he was going to court and we awaited the summons, only for the recent publications of his utterance with Multichoice. When invited by the Lagos State government on proof of being founder, he presented a forged certificate from the Nigeria Copyright Commission, NCC, which registers ideas, arts and literary works. A petition from the Creative Industry Group was written against him in that respect. It is now pertinent that Mr. Pretty Okafor will have his day soonest in court as we have begun all legal proceedings against his person in respect of his malicious claim over CIG.We are thus using this medium in dissociating ourselves from all statements, comments and any real or seemed actions credited to Pretty Okafor on behalf of the Creative Industry Group as he is not a registered member, much less a spokesperson and impossibly the chairman or founder or whatever position he has assigned to himself imaginatively in his delusion. Please and please, if you must deal with him, kindly note that you have been notified that his actions are his, and representative of him and any other platform he might claim to represent, but definitely not and we repeat not the Creative Industry Group.
