President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday named former Commandant of the Police Academy Wudil Kano, Zanna Mohammed Ibrahim as the new Inspector General of Police.

Ibrahim was named as the new IG in acting capacity removing all speculations over possible extension of the tenure of Mohammed Adamu who retired officially on Monday.
