Dakkada Fc of Uyo midfielder, Solomon Chigozie is optimistic that his team would turn in better results after a recent slump that saw the club losing at home to Sunshine Stars on MatchDay 6.
Chigozie, who joined Dakkada from neighbouring non-NPFL side, Cofine Fc of Uyo noted that the defeat has bolstered the squad to up their play and recover the dropped points in subsequent fixtures away from Uyo.
‘’It’s been a difficult start for us so far, after picking maximum points against Fc IfeanyiUbah away from home, we’ve also lost some points at home so far and it’s not encouraging. There is a need for us to perform better’’
’’We can’t continue to slip at home, we’ve been playing well, but also have been firing blanks and conceding goals lately especially at our home games. The technical crew ate working on both the attacking and defensive departments so we can get stronger again’’
The midfielder, who is of Imo State origin, has been in superb form this season scoring two goals and providing same number of assists for the Uyo based club so far.
His goal against MFM Fc on MatchDay 4, a volley from about 25 yards, can easily be listed as a contender for goal of the season.
Dakkada are again playing at home to Warri Wolves in one of thevMatchDay 7 fixtures this weekend.
