Barely three days after the release of 344 students abducted from Karanka Boys school in Katsina state,they struck again Saturday abducting many students of Islamiya school.
The school is located in Manhutta town,Dandume local government area of Katsina state.
The actual number of the abducted students is yet to be known, but the vigilante groups in the community have already begun a rescue operation.
According to Katsina Post, the Islamic students were abducted on their way home after they graced a maulud procession at Unguwar Al-Kasim, a nearby village.
When contacted, the Katsina State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Gambo Isah, said he was out of the state on an official assessment and could not comment on the issue.
Also Saturday unknown gunmen abducted Anthony Okungbowan, the Edo State Head of Service.
The head of service was abducted in Benin-City, the state capital.
The Head of Service was said to have been whisked away to an unknown destination at gunpoint by the gunmen.
As at the time of filing this report, the abductors have not contacted any member of his family or made claim for payment of ransom.
