Former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun on Tuesday led past top Government functionaries in the state to the residence of late Chief Imam of Egbaland, Sheikh Liadi Orunsolu in Abeokuta.
The late Chief Imam gave up the ghost at the wee hours of Tuesday at age 99.
Amosun who arrived the residence of late Chief Imam exactly 8:03am was accompanied by former Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Alhaji Sarafadeen Tunji Ishola, former Ogun State House of Assembly member, Hon. Idowu Olowofuja among others.
Other Sympathizers who joined the former governor to pay their last respect to the late Muslim cleric include, the Wakeel of Muslim of Yorubaland, Sheikh Iskeel Lawal otherwise known as Sugar, Chairman, Arocom Investment, Alhaji Aro Rasak and others.
The late Chief Imam reigned for 17years having succeeded late Imam Shittu Bello Okeoro in 2003.
The late Chief Imam will be buried by 4pm today.
