The Orangun of Ila,Oba Wahab Kayode Oyedotun,has apologised to former governor of Osun state,Chief Bisi Akande over the activities of youths in the ancient town who recently lay siege on his residence over the sitting of a new federal college of education.

The traditional ruler in the letter Friday,May 22,said the controversy over the sitting of school led to unimaginable protest against the person of Chief Akande who is the Asiwaju of the town.
He said his letter of apology is in realization of the tremendous contributions of Chief Akande to the overall growth and development of Ila- Orangun community either in the part or at present.
Said he,”it becomes morally justified to sincerely apologize to the eminent person of Chief Bisi Akande for any embarrassment which the action of his ‘children’ might have caused him.we recognize you as our illustrious son whose role and position in the political space of Nigeria cannot be undermined”.
The Orangun of Ila on behalf of the Orangun-in- council plead with Chief Akande,the former interim National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC)not to be demoralised and be distracted by the action of the youths who had laid siege to his resident, from moving the community Ila Orangun community to greater heights and laudable destinations.
It will be recalled that some youths in the town last weekend laid siege on the former governors who is an indigene of the town asking him to use his position to prevail on the federal government to site the newly established Federal College of Education in Ila instead of Iwo where it was sited.
