Reasons for the locking of the gate of Aso rock-official seat of the Presidency against aides and staff who attended the burial ceremony of the late chief of staff to President Muhammad Buhari,has now been revealed-they are to be quarantined for 14 days in a location yet to be determined.
Newdawnngr sources close to some of the affected aides revealed that authorities took the decision to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus disease should in case any of them is afflicted during the burial which arrangements and conduct have come under public criticism.
Although the affected aides are yet to be officially informed of the decision,some of them have read the handwritings on the wall and are already making arrangements with concerned authorities to undertake the 14 days quarantine in approved location yet to be disclosed.
It will be recalled that the presence and cluster of personalities at Saturdays burial of the late chief of staff at the military cemetery in Guru,Abuja have been a subject of public debate especially since it violated social distancing rules guidelines as stipulated by the National Centre for Disease Control( NCDC).
