COVID-19: Nigeria on the way to recovery – Adeboye

.. Asks FG to involve religious leaders in spiritual cleansing
…Advises Nigerians to postpone overseas travels after lockdown until total recovery and pray against fire and flood.
General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God(RCCG),Pastor Enoch Adeboye,has said that the nation is on the way to recovery from the Coronavirus pandemic but said the recovery will be gradual.
In his message to the nation today on the Sunday service,televised worldwide on Dove Television,he advised the federal government to henceforth involve religious leaders (Pastors and Imams)in spiritual cleaning in their planning.
He praised the government for its efforts in containing the spread of the deadly virus and also commend doctors and other health workers adding,”if you don’t believe in doctors before now, you must respect them now for their yeoman job during the crisis”.
Said he,”return to normalcy has begun.it might be gradual but it will be steady and when the battle is over,we must give glory to God because it is not by our might but by the grace of God”.
He also urged Nigerians to continue to observe the rules on social standing and be hygienic because,”we don’t want the gains achieved sbfar to be reversed”.
The General overseer also advised Nigerians to postpone any foreign travel for now when the lockdown in the country is over saying ,”postpone any journey abroad for now as God will ensure recovery in Nigeria and other African countries before other parts of the world will be cleansed”.
Pastor Adeboye also enjoined Nigerians to pray fervently against fire outbreaks and devastating floods now ravaging the country and asked households to clean their drainages to prevent devastating floods as the rains sets in.
In the sermon titled, Joy is coming,he enjoined those trusting God for the fruit of the womb to remain steadfast quoting from the book of Psalm 30:4-5…weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning”.
Pastor Adeboye also asks those thrusting God for economic breakthrough to hope in the as”all sufficient God has the last say on poverty adding, as in Genesis 17:1saying, “all sufficient God” will turn your situation around.
