To cushion the effect of the lock-out order on two states and Federal Capital Territory(FCT) by the Federal Government over the COVID-19 pandemic, a non-governmental organisation, Peter Ajayi Foundation (PAF), has donated food items and some hygiene packs to some residents of Lagos State.
The food items which includes rice, beans, garri, pasta and other food items were delivered to homes by some volunteers of PAF.
Chairman of PAF, Peter Ajayi while speaking on the gesture explained that his organisation embarked on the act to cushion the effect of the sit-at-home order by the government to tackle COVID-19. “We are not out to gain popularity or politicise this. The least we can do at a time at this is to join hands with the government to cushion the effect of the lock-down in the metropolis. We in PAF are out to make the society a better place. We call on other individuals and organisations to do their bit no matter how small,” Ajayi said.
