The Lagos State Police Command in Surulere have arrested a 25 year-old lady, Stella Peters for allegedly stabbing her live in lover,and of her daughter, Haruna Bala, to death on Tuesday 17th September.
According to the statement released by Police spokesman, Bala Elkanah, Stella allegedly killed Haruna, who is 25 years old, for refusing to give her money to celebrate the birthday of their daughter. He added, the suspect has confessed to the allege crime.

“The couples who were not officially married live together at No 2 Tejuosho Avenue, Surulere Lagos for three years and have a baby who just turned one” The spokesman said.
It was said that an argument occurred between them which turned violent and the woman used a kitchen knife to stab the man in the back which led to his death.
According to the police spokesman, the woman accused the man of refusing to release money for their daughter’s birthday party.
Homicide detectives from the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Yaba have taken over the investigation. The suspect allegedly confessed to committing the crime, and would be charged to court for alleged murder.
