The simmering crisis between the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and his party in the state All Peoples Congress APC is deepening by the day as the governor has continued to ignore the party in running the government

Informed sources said that the party, which had been ignored on the issue of appointments had thought that with Saturday’s victory at the tribunal, the Governor would relate more with the party.But the government has scheduled a victory party for this morning without informing the party nor inviting its leadership.
A statement by the Special Adviser, Government House, Babatunde Olaotan, simply said “you are cordially invited to a victory party in celebration of the success recorded at the Election Petition Tribunal judgement. which affirmed the election of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR as the duly elected Governor of Ogun State.
“Venue: Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta
Time: 10am
Date: Tuesday 17th September, 2019.”
Informed sources said the chairman and other members of the executive of the party read the invitation on the social media just like every other person.
Governor Abiodun since his assumption had largely ignored the party in giving out appointments.
It will be recalled that the inability of the governor to form a cabinet months after his assumption of office is not unconnected with the crisis of confidence between the two camps.
Besides,an attempt by the Governor to please all the parties and interest group, which contributed to his victory is making it difficult for him to form a cabinet among the various names sent to him for consideration.
