TASCE lectures say allegation of kidnapping, robbery baseless

The five Tai solarin College Of education (TASCE), Lecturers accused of kidnapping and robbery who was arraigned at the Magistrate Court, Isabo, and granted bail has refuted  the “fabricated” social media allegation that they were aimed at robbing the institution and kidnapping, noting that it was mischievous, false statement that cannot be substantiated.

One of the alleged Lecturers, Mr. Daniel Aborisade stated this while addressing newsmen at Isabo, High Court, Abeokuta, after being granted bail, noted that the government was trying to silent and undermined their press for release of their 56 months salaries, deductions, leave bonuses and other benefits owning them.

He stated that the struggle had been on the front burner of the institution as at the administration of Senator Ibikunle Amosun, and after the assumption of office by the present administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun, promised to pay all their salaries and other arrears, adding that a visitation panel was constituted headed by Professor Kamaldeen Balogun, and all the recommendation of the report were not even implemented by the government which aggravated the plights of the Lecturers and crisis of the college.

“Indeed, it is a laughable to be alleging us of kidnapping and robbery, we are all lecturers of higher institution which even has to do with teachers and pupils, and how on earth we would be engaging in kidnapping and robbery? All the allegations leveled against us is purely malicious, and misguided information, so as to discredit us and tarnish the image of our people”, Aborisade said

He alleged that the Provost of the College, Dr. Lukman Adeola Kiadese was connived and conspired with the state government to subvert the truth of their agitations which resorted into the maiming and molestation of Lecturers and other workers in the campus, noting that none of their members ever contemplating of kidnapping anybody and robbing anyone, despite the fact that we have not being paid for 56 months.

In his statement “our attentions has been drawn to a reports trending on social media that some TASCE Lecturers were arraigned before the magistrate Court, Isabo, Abeokuta, for alleged kidnapping and robbery, I am telling the whole world that, it is masterminded by the government paid social media dogs which has no means of livelihood except malign and discredit people on social media through their paid masters, we are head shapers, nation builders and role model, for being Lecturers. How do we kidnap and rob then? ”.

He said he was invited to the Governor’s office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, on the instruction of one the Governor’s errand Boy, Mr. Lamide Lawal, in order to meet with the S.A on Education and other government functionaries to find a lasting solution to lingering crisis that engulfed the institution, noted that as he was usher in to office of the governor, immediately the Chief Security Officer to the governor, (CSO), ordered his arrest and then moved him to the Ogun State Force Headquarter, Eleweeran, Abeokuta.

He further challenge those accusing them of kidnapping to come out from their hiding and produce those who they are attempting to kidnap and who they were robbed of his or her belongings, noting that the government were undermining to silent them from fighting for the course of the rights.

“We are not perturbed by these malicious false statements trending on social media, if truly we are kidnappers, we wouldn’t be granted bail and nobody is going to be our sureties. As we all known that kidnapping is a criminal offence which devoid of bailable before the any court in the country, I was invited to the governor’s office and arrested there, and nobody is declared wanted among us? Why now saying we are engaging in kidnapping”, Aborisade said
