Forty eight hours after the  National Security Summit hosted by former head of state, Gen Abubakar Abdusalam rounded up its sitting in Minna, the Niger State capital, the summit is yet to issue a communique.
The delay Newdawn sources revealed, is as a result of the inability of principal participants to agree on the eight -point agenda presented on Monday evening to the top notch leaders who are to present it for ratification by the whole house on Tuesday.

It will be recalled that only three eminent persona attended the summit from the South west while former Governor of old Rivers state,Alfred Diette Spiff, represented the south south since the chief Edwin Clarks, pandef and the Ohaneze Ndigbo from south east all backed out due to invitation of Miyetti Allah, a trade association to the summit.
Besides,no known traditional ruler from the South West was also at the summit attended by mostly retired generals like Alani Akinrinade,Isola Williams and Professor Bolaji Akinyemi.
The fear of those who kicked against the attendance at the summit and the recommendations is that the set up has the logistical support and backing of the federal government despite denislnof such by the National Peace Committee led by the former head of state. Hence ,it is feared, the outcome could not be relied upon.
