Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan has nominated twenty Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senators as Chairmen of Senate Standing Committees out sixty-nine standing Committees.
The PDP Senators nominated as Chairmen were Senator Dino Melaye (Aviation), Senator Matthew Urogbide( Public Account) Senator James Manager ( Gas Resources) among others.

However, forty-nine Senators were appointed as Chairmen of Senate Standing Committees by the Senate President.
They are Senator Ibikunle Amosun (Capital Market), Adeola Olamilekan (Finance) , Senator Dayo Adeyeye( Media and Publicity), Senator Danjuma Gone ( Marine Transport), Kabiru Gaya (INEC), Rocha’s Okorocha (Culture and Tourism), Remi Tinubu (Communication), Mohammed Ndume (Army), Aliyu Wammako (Defence).
