The immediate past Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola on Monday told the senate screening committee why the Public Private Partnership cannot be employed for all infrastructural development projects.
Fashola, who is one of the ministerial nominees from Lagos State gave the explanation while responding to questions at the ongoing Ministerial screening at the Senate.

According to him, unlike Commercial projects, the PPP approach cannot be applied to Social projects.
Thus, he said, projects that are not commercial viable can’t be tabled along the PPP approach as the private sector would always expect profit in any investment.
