The faulty truck blocking the road
The activities of the Lagos State owned pig farm along the Oke-Aro/Matogbun Road is now giving commuters nightmare.
In the early hours of today, a big lorry used in evacuation of pigs from the farm broke down thereby blocking the road under repair and thereby causing traffic conjestion for over two hours.
As a result, residents and commuters along the two kilometre road got stocked for over two hours preventing them from getting to work.

Before now, the activities of the pig farmers have been a nuisance to the road maintenance efforts as the pig farm operators often throw dead pigs inside the drainage thereby blocking passage of water and compounding repair works.
Efforts by the team of volunteers led by Mr. Femi Tanimowo have so far proved abortive.
As at the time of filling this report, efforts are still on to remove the truck for easy passage of vehicles along the ever busy road.
“This is an eye sore. It is not encouraging to the repair work. The head of the pig farmers should take action to remove the truck,” declares one of the enraged commuters.
