I hesitated in writing this article for several reasons. I had resorted to not wasting my time in the first place because it may not make any difference but create more enemies for myself especially of my Igbo friends who may classify my write up as tribalistic despite knowing the truth.
I also hesitated knowing fully well that some of my own Anioma people in particular will antagonize me despite knowing that what I have said is an unbiased truth.

Without a shadow of doubt, everyone knows that His Excellency Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa was reelected not because he was so good a Governor but because of the Anioma factor. The Aniomas fought hard to retain the office for the 2nd term. Almost everyone knew that there was no way that Great Ogboru was going to win just because of the Anioma factor. If Hon. Victor Ochei had received the APC ticket, he would’ve given our governor a diarrhea of his life because the Anioma vote will be divided. So, in this past election, Anioma played a great part in the reelection of the Governor but surprisingly, our Governor did not find it fit to celebrate his reelection with the Anioma musicians but with Chioma Jesus of the East. Are there no musicians in Anioma worthy to celebrate with their Governor who they elected? Are there no Anioma musician to empower with the amount of money paid to Chioma Jesus because obviously she didn’t sing for free?
There’s no eastern or Yoruba State Governor that will commit such an atrocious offense. If there is, I stand corrected but that will be absolute Iberiberism. This is a State affair and not Federal. Charity they say, begins at home. Sometimes, I just wonder if these guys understand some fundamental principles of life.
I choose to say this because I can say it needing no political position or contract/favoritism. While the sycophants shower over rated praises, they won’t think of this, yet, they belong to all Anioma forums that be and claim to be Anioma pioneers from Anioma Congress and Anioma this and that. Anioma is religion not for political bastardization
