In tune with the Governor Dapo Abioduns setting aside the last minute appointment of new Obas by the former governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun,The Egba Traditional Council yesterday passed resolutions that the appointment of over 75 coronet obas did not follow due process.
The council further resolved that the appointments were made without recourse to the chieftaincy laws of Ogun State.
In the resolutions signed by the President of the council. Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, the council called for total rejection of all the coronet obas and demanding that future consideration of any Oba must be in accordance with the chieftaincy laws of the state.

It will be recalled that Governor Dapo Abiodun last week sworn in a new committee he set up to review the appointment which he had earlier set aside.
