Senate on Thursday confirmed reappointment of Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele for second term in office.
Senate decision was sequel to the report of Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions submitted for consideration.
Emefiele had appeared before Senate Committee on Banking on Thursday for screening.
At the resumption of plenary session, Chairman Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions, Sen. Rafiu Ibrahim presented report for the consideration which was unanimously adopted by lawmakers.
It will be recalled that Emefiele was appointed by former President Goodluck Jonathan in June 2014 and his appointment was renewed by President Muhammadu Buhari.
