Politicians seeking elective positions have been advised to see themselves as applicants to serve their communities rather than flaunt their desires to boost personal egos.
Oba Olufemi Adewunmi Ogunleye, Towulade Akinale, gave the advice while welcoming to his palace, the campaign team of Barrister Adeleke Adewolu and Yusuf Amosun who are seeking election to be representative of Ifo/Ewekoro constituency in the National Assembly, Abuja and representative of Ewekoro constituency in Ogun State Assembly respectively under the platform of APM party.

The Monarch said politicians usually are fond of rhetoric self-praising during campaign than to critically analyze the problems and socioeconomic deficiencies of their communities and what are their plans and strategies to change the template. Such myopic approach to campaign, he added, was likely to be interpreted as taking the electorates for granted.
Oba Ogunleye, however, accepted Barrister Leke Adewolu and Yusuf Amosun as young and vibrant politicians who besides having capabilities and capacities to deliver, both also come from credible parentage in the locality and backed by tested and competent political mentors in the state.
Oba Ogunleye offered special prayers and blessings for the contestants and their campaign train.
Earlier, Alhaji Sina Adegbenro, the political leader of the APC in Ewekoro local government said although the contestants were in APM, he as the leader of APC could not stop campaigning for them because of his belief in their victory.
“What is happening to us now is our desire to reject oppression and ensure that fair play, equity and justice prevail in the political terrain in Ogun state.” Alhaji Sina Adegbenro reassured.
