The governorship candidate of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) in Ogun State, Oluseyi Gavriel Olufade, has disclosed
that his mission is to “rescue, restore and reposition” the State for a better future.

He declared weekend during a chat with state correspondents in Abeokuta, the state capital that the overall objective of his seeking to rule the state is to change the situation of things adding “our theme is to bring out the glory in Ogun-State”.

Said he, “I am Changing the narrative, the options in the politics and polity. To let people know that there are actually true and genuine people out there to change their lives for good change in public service delivery. In achieving this, I had to settle for the party that best suit the mission and that party is the Alliance for Democracy which has a pure ideology”.

Olufade said, “when I settled for this party, I travelled round eighteen out of the twenty local governments in Ogun State and what eighty-per cent of the residents remember is what the Alliance for Democracy past leaders did when the party was in power between 1999 and 2003 and this realisation is the more reason 2019 politics will be very unusual”

He declared further that the cardinal programme of his party is rooted in people-oriented programmes adding, “there are five pillars in our blueprint viz-
1.Sustainable human capital development
2 Public service accountability and good governance.
3 Security law and order
4. Infrastructure for economic growth and prosperity. (Road, transportation, water, electricity and the light).
5.Land environment and natural resources (reformation of land, Urban planning)”.

He added further that the realisation that there is a gap between the people and development of the state informed his programmes adding, “Our gross development product is provided by industry, services and agriculture. I want this State to be the service centre, silicon centre and turn the state to our own New Jersey and New York. We can position ourself as a knowledge city, a media city, an agricultural city which has to be strategically looked into. As a businessman and entrepreneur, I believe you that you should put more money where you generate funds”

On his first priority if elected into office he declared, “we have forty-seven quick wins we will do quickly, this is what we want to do between the first three hundred and sixty -five days come May 2019”.

The Yewa-Awori born candidate and information technology expert said, “our three keywords are simple courageous and innovative, we have gotten here by innovation and taking courageous steps, we are here by believing in God, having faith that there is nothing God can not do, as the creator of heaven and earth”, he added. https://www.newdawnngr.com/
