The Independent Campaign Group (ICG) for 2019 general elections, has commended the selection of Engineer (Mrs) Noimot as the running-mate to All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial Candidate, Prince (Dr) Dapo Abiodun in the coming 2019 General Elections.
The commendation was contained in a congratulatory message signed by the State General Coordinator of the group Hon Babayemi Babatunde in Abeokuta.
Babayemi said: “The appointment is well deserved, considering her wealth of experience; the passion to serve her people and the ability to deliver on people’s expectations along side the people’s choice (Dr. Dapo Abiodun).”
He commended all the Party Elders, Leaders and Stakeholders in the state for taking their time and not disappointing the Good people of the state with the selection.
He described Engineer Noimot’s choice as Dr Dapo Abiodun’s Deputy Governorship candidate, as putting the round peg in the round hole, whose some of her major antecedents revealed her as a thorough ‘grassroot person’ and a worthy Illustrious Daughter of Ogun west extraction, that enjoys wide acceptability across the state.
Babayemi also said: “It is now obvious that, not only will the selection ease the party’s quest for victory at the coming polls, but also help the incoming government in making life meaningful for the people of the state.”
