The Ogun State Governor, Senator lbikunle Amosun has approved the appointment of Dr. Abel Oluyemisi Bamgbose, as a Permanent Secretary in the State Civil Service.
The Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Service Matters, Office of the Head of Service, Mrs. Modupeola Bosede, who made the announcement in a Press Statement in Abeokuta, added that the appointment takes immediate effect.
Bamgbose who was until his appointment, a Director in the State Ministry of Information and Strategy, started his career as a Production Assistant with the Ogun State Television (OGTV) in 1983, rose through the ranks to become Assistant General Manager and was recently transferred to the mainstream of the Civil Service.
The new Permanent Secretary holds a Doctorate Degree (PhD) in Applied Psychology, Masters in Personnel Psychology and Bachelor of Science Degree (B. Ed) in Guidance & Counselling/Social from the Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye) in 2014, 2003 and 1998 respectively.
Dr. Bamgbose, an Associate member of the Advertising Practitioners of Nigeria (APCON), was also a former National President of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Art Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU).
