Whenever Governor, Sen (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, who is now better known as Roadmaster, decides to bless the agrarian and peace loving town, Adonte, with a tarred road from Ogwashi –Uku, one fellow who will be remembered, eternally, for his past effort at providing the town with that essential amenity, is Mr. Austin George Eneduwa.
The gentleman it was, in 2015 to be precise, that bankrolled the grading of the road to make it a bit motorable and alleviate the sufferings of the rural folks of the community. Eneduwa did that when he was campaigning to represent Aniocha South State Constituency, which Adonte is the headquarter of Ward 10, one of the wards in that constituency in Aniocha South Local Government Area. He did that to show the people of the town that if he can grade the road from his pocket, he will certainly do more with his constituency allowance and also pile pressure on the state government to construct the road if elected into the state assembly.
Though, he eventually lost to a fellow Ogwashi Uku indigene, Hon Angela Nwaka, at the polls because of the indigenes unshakeable support for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, who was aspiring to become the first Delta State governor of Anioma nation extraction in line with the state’s equity spirit.
However, the fact that he lost to Nwaka at the polls, has not obliterate the fact that Enediuwa who is into hospitality business and operates a relaxation outfit somewhere in Ikeja, Lagos GRA, is passionately concerned about the bad state of the road leading to the town and which has arrested its development by past administrations the state had witnessed since independence.
Eneduwa did all that then as the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) for Aniocha South Constituency for the State House Of Assembly and it is not clear in this season of defection and counter defection, if he is still a broom carrying politician, one thing that is certain is that the people of the town, still remember him with nostalgia and
