The Super Falcons of Nigeria on Tuesday at the Remo Stars Stadium in Shagamu, Ogun State of Nigeria dumped the Ocean Islanders Comoros women 5-0 in the 2nd leg of the 2nd round 2028 Los Angeles Olympic African qualifiers.
Tony Payne scored a brace with the opening goal in the 41st minute when Uchenna Kanu after hitting the horizontal bar beat Comoros Goalkeeper, Aishat in the ricochet and toed the ball to Payne to score and her 2nd goal which was Nigeria’s 3rd goal came in the 64th minute.
Uchenna who scored in the 1st leg also supplied a brace this time with Nigeria’s 2nd goal in the 58th minute and Nigeria’s 4th goal in the 67th minute that she headed home from Ijamilusi Cross. Then Blessing outplayed two Comoros defendes who hacked her down in the box for Chrsty Ucheibe to tuck into the net for the 5th goal.

Michelle Alozie and Uchenna Kanu scored the two goals in the 1st leg at the same venue.
Nigeria will meet Morocco in a two legged 3rd round match to be played between 23rd February and 6th March 2027 and the winner of that match will proceed to meet the winner of the Tunisia/Senegal and the winner of Benin/Mauritania match in the 4th round to be played 4th to 12th October 2027. Congo withdrew paving way for Morocco to meet Nigeria without kicking a ball.

The 5th round will be decided 5th to 23rd December 2027 from where two teams will represent Africa CAF. Two teams are coming from Asia (AFC); two from South America (CONMEBOL) two from North America (CONCACAF); One from Oceania and three from Europe (EUFA).
