Nigeria at 66: The Harvest Is Yet to Come.

As Nigeria marks 66 years of independence, the Conscience of Yoruba Nation Group extends warm greetings to all Nigerians at home and abroad. This anniversary is more than a date on the national calendar,it is a moment to reflect on our history, confront our challenges and reaffirm our faith in the Nigeria we know can emerge.

Our nation has endured turbulence, insecurity, economic hardship and periods of profound disappointment. Yet Nigerians have continued to persist and strive. We must therefore refuse to surrender to despair.

There is wisdom in the saying that there must be sweat before sweet. A farmer does not plant today and expect a harvest tomorrow. He tills the soil, plants his seed, nurtures it through rain and sunshine and waits patiently for the season of harvest. Nation building demands that same sacrifice, discipline and patience.

Nigeria’s difficulties are undeniable, but so is her potential. Let us keep hope alive, strengthen our institutions, encourage enterprise and demand accountable leadership while remaining committed to our collective destiny.

At 66, Nigeria may not yet have reached the destination we desire, but the story is still being written. Let us work, pray and persevere, confident that today’s labour can become tomorrow’s harvest.
