Earlier, two first half goals ended the group C clash between France and North Korea 1-1 as Jo Hyeyoung scored in the 12th minute and Nadia Traore equalized in the 36th minute.
Japan left it late to win the first group D match through a brace scored by Miyu Matsunaga in the 49th and 90+2 minutes while Lily Brazendale scored for Debutante New Zealand in the 59th minute.
Tomorrow Monday at 2pm groups E and F teams will be on parade. Korea will meet Portugal in group E while New Caledonia will face the Chinese. At 5pm Costa Rica and Columbia will clash while simultaneously the Falconets of Nigeria will square up against Spain.
