The Presidency has renewed the appointment of the Director General of the national Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru in Plateau State, Professor Ayodeji Omotayo.
The Special Adviser to the President, Bayo Onanuga who announced this on Wednesday said the term renewal would be a final four years.
Prof. Omotayo has just completed his first four years having been appointed by the former President Muhammadu Buhari in November 2021 but his term was confirmed in February 2022 meaning that this renewal will still have to be confirmed by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Professor Omotayo had spent most of his years at the University of Ibadan where he started his primary school and went through the academic ladder obtaining his first, second, a post graduate degree and a Doctorate (PhD) in Geography before becoming Professor of Environmental Sustainability.
He began his teaching career at the Lagos State University in 1985 and rose through the ranks to become a senior Lecturer in 1992 at the age of 30.
The brilliant scholar was a lecturer in America growing several business connections before coming back to LASU.
He became Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences between 2012 and 2017 and the Director of the Centre for Planning at the same University. It was because of his impeccable academic records that the Buhari regime picked him up to strengthen the vital polices of Government.
Prof Ayodeji Omotayo is married with children.
