ADC, NNPP reject Electoral Act 2026, seek fresh amendment by n’assembly
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) have outrightly rejected the recently signed Electoral Act amendment bill 2026, describing it as a threat to democracy and an attempt to establish a one-party system in Nigeria.
Ajuji Ahmed, NNPP’s national chairman, addressed journalists in Abuja on Thursday on behalf of the opposition parties.

The opposition parties had earlier met in the nation’s capital to deliberate on far reaching issues.
Those present at the meeting include ADC Presidential hopefulls Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi and Rotimi Amaechi.
