The governor said the mandate of the committee is to engage directly with the affected families, community leaders, and residents to identify their most pressing needs—whether rehabilitation, medical support, livelihood restoration, infrastructure rebuilding, or psychosocial care

The committee, he added, is expected to serve as the bridge between the people and government, ensuring that the interventions are community-driven, transparent, and effective.
The Chairman of the committee and Kiwozi of Kugiji, Mr Ahmed Ibn- Muhammad, assured the governor that the committee will do everything humanly possible to link up with the affected people with a view to addressing their needs.(NAN)
