The Nigerian Air Force has offered a reason why its C-130 aircraft landed in Burkina Faso.
The Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, offered the explanation in a statement.
It will be recalled that the Government of Burkina Faso has alleged that the C-130 landed in the country against protocol.
It accused the aircraft of flying over its territory against world convention.
But responding, Air Commodore Ejodame said the aircraft, on its way to Portugal, had an emergency that necessitated landing in the country.
He explained: “The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) wishes to clarify reports regarding the diversion of a NAF C-130 aircraft during its ferry mission to Portugal on 8 December 2025.
