Health concerns: Peter Obi Suspends Public Engagements

Former Presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, has announced a temporary suspension of his public activities after receiving medical advice to take some days off.

In a statement posted on his official X handle on Saturday, Obi disclosed that he began to feel unwell during an event in Enugu, prompting him to seek medical attention.

According to him, a doctor prescribed medication and recommended one to two days of rest.

“In obedience to the doctor’s advice, I will not be able to meet up with all my scheduled engagements within and outside the country this weekend.

“I sincerely apologise for any inconveniences this might cause and humbly plead for understanding,” he wrote.

The former Anambra State governor also highlighted some of his recent engagements.

He attended a tourism event in Enugu before visiting Good Hope Specialist Hospital, Isulo, Orumba South LGA, Anambra State, where he contributed ₦10 million to support the Aguata Diocese of the Church of Nigeria in acquiring and revitalising the facility.
