The Lagos State Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, has announced the successful dislodgement of illegal street traders operating along Bishop Oluwole Street, Victoria Island.
According to Wahab, the enforcement operation was carried out to restore order, ensure free vehicular and pedestrian movement, and uphold the state’s environmental and aesthetic standards.
He urged all traders to move to government-approved markets and commercial zones, warning that continuous violations would attract stricter sanctions.
The commissioner reaffirmed the state’s commitment to its #ZeroToleranceLagos campaign against illegal trading and other environmental infractions.
