Tinubu Decentralizes Aviation Training, Establishes Five New College of Aviation Campuses

357

In a significant move to decentralize aviation training and ensure national representation, the Federal Government has approved the division of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria.

Previously located solely in Kaduna State, the institution will now be expanded with five new campuses across the country’s geopolitical zones. This initiative is designed to make specialized aviation education more accessible and to promote regional inclusion.

The five new campus locations are:

· Akure, Ondo State (Southwest)
· Osubi, Delta State (South-South)
· Ebonyi State (Southeast)
· Ilorin, Kwara State (North Central)
· Yola, Adamawa State (North-East)

The original campus in Zaria, Kaduna State, will remain operational, serving the North-West zone. This restructuring ensures that all six of Nigeria’s geopolitical zones will have a dedicated campus for aviation training.
