Late Emir of Zuru, Maj Gen Muhammadu Sani Sami
The Emir of Zuru, His Royal Highness Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Sani Sami (Gomo II), is dead.
He passed away in the early hours of today (at about 4:15am), Sunday, August 17, 2025 in London, where he had been receiving medical treatment.

Reacting to the development, Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah described the late Emir as a noble leader who served his people with distinction and left behind enduring legacies for Zuru Emirate, Kebbi State, and Nigeria as a whole.
The Senator, in a condolence message signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Muhammad Danjarida, prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the monarch, grant him eternal rest, and give his family and the entire people of Zuru Emirate the strength to bear the huge loss.
“Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un. May Allah forgive the Emir of Zuru and grant him Aljannah as his final abode,” Na’Allah said.
