Entrepreneurs and artists in the creative industry have been advised to collaborate and pull resources together to assess funding towards attaining success in the industry.
This was the position canvassed by Panelists at the Creative Powerhouse Summit with the Theme,Financing As Catalyst For A ThrivingCreative Economy organised by,QEDNG, an online publishing outfit establish by Mighty Media Plus Network.

In his opening remark at the well attended summit,Group Managing Director of SO&U,an advertising concern,Mr Udeme Ufo, said much capital is required to build the nation’s creative economy.
As for him for the industry to survive,financing is needed to enjoy economy of scale adding,”financing must be responsive, flexible and have credible production distribution”.
“It is not about throwing money but for a sustained and well planned effort” adding that entrepreneurs in the creative industry must strive to possess basic financial literacy.
“You must understand how to manage money , business and build confidence that funds made available to you is in safe hands”.

In her keynote address, Dr Nkiru Balonwu,Founder of Africa Soft Power Group,said Talent alone is not the issue in attracting funding for the creative economy but identify absence of a structural belief adding,”the real gap is in design and accesibility just as entrepreneurs in creative industry are interested in the business aspect of the industry “.
She also spoke of the need for artists to pull resources together and highlight collective success stories adding,”the industry will not achieve its true potentials through isolated success stories.”
Balonwu advised creative artists to pull resources together to achieve set goals in a collaborative effort.
Also speaking in same vein,Kunle Afolayan,Filmmaker and Founder of KAP group, said to keep the creativity in the industry growing the business part of the industry must be well taken care of just as Joseph Edgar,Founder, Duke of Somolu Productions said that for artists to succeed it must strive to capture the revenues in the industry.
Other speakers include Ms Mary Ephraim-Egbas,Founder of Afruca Film Finance Forum who also spoke on the need for artists to collaborate and evolve an acceptable structure to attract funding for the industry.
