Awujale,Oba Sikiru Adetona
Nigerias longest reigning monarch,Awujale of Ijebuland,Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona,Ogbagba 11, has joined his ancestors Sunday July 13.
He was aged 91.
The news of the demise of the first class monarch Sunday evening was confirmed by one of his lieutenants who would nit want to be named.
As at the time o his death,he has ruled for 65 years making him the longest reigning monarch in Nigerias history.

It will be recalled that the respected monarch who was the arrowhead for the movement for creation of Ijebu State could not attend this year’s annual Ojude Oba celebration having just been discharged from hospital due to age related disease.
Ogun State government is yet to issue a statement on his demise.
