For Evangelist Tosin Martin’s ,founder of Words of Life Ministry, this years Father’s day was an opportunity to celebrate Father’s and recharge their responsibility in rekindling their marriage vows and building homes .
But then,it is not all about admonition but a relaxed atmosphere where guests were entertained to good food and music to lighten up the environment.
While the six hours celebration lasted, no dull moment and at the end Father’s and other guests took home memorable words to rekindle their vows,reshape their homes and renewed hope for the future:
Here are some of the divine roles and responsibilities which according to Martins,the Lord handed down from the book of Psalms and Isaiah to guide fathers to fulfil their purpose and assignment in life.
Tips for Father’s yo play their God given roles:
1.Accept the dictum that Kingdom of Heaven as in Matt 13:24-25 and Gen.2:15 is likened to a Man…God commissioned the man and gave him Divine responsibility hence the need to Wake Up and Take The Lead.
Since God started creation with a Man,a father is more than who the man is.
A father is the Protector, Teacher,Trainer, Mentor and the Legacy giver.
He gives direction,guidance,shape decision of the family/home.
He is responsible for everything and thus shaping generation of those that comes after him in the immediate family.
His action determines the outcome of his family.
Parenting-Dont be passive at home.
God gave you the strength to protect your wife, make the home conducive and safe. The home should be a safe place for a wife,who should be in your arms.
A father should shape the emotion of the home and be compassionate-be available as a strong hand.
Turn your heart to your children and be a dedicated and knowledgeable as a Leader.
A father is the designer of the destiny of the home.
A father is the Anchor as he holds the family together. The family is a reflection of what comes out of you as you shape their destiny.
Faces at the Event:
Stop being passive as a father. Be physically and emotionally present .
Don’t fail to train the children.

Train the children and when they frequently up they will not depart from the training.
Don’t be like Samuel who failed to train his children..1Sam 8:1-5.
Fatherhood means security-to be awake and take the Lead in building the home.
When a father is absent,he has left the child abd he wint be emotionally balanced.
A father has to know the peculiarities of the children.
A father has to admonish them as in Prov 1:8-My son,hear the instructions of they father and forsake not the law of thy mother.
