EFCC official kidnapped by bandits in Abuja outskirts regains freedom

The EFCC official, kidnapped by Fulani Bandits at Alubo 2 in Ado area of New Karu in Nasarawa State on the early hours of Tuesday, Pastor Dare Bello has been released.

Pastor Bello it was gathered was released in the early hours of today Wednesday at Nyanya and he found his way to his house in Alubo 2.
Nyanya,it will be recalled has been home to bandits in the past two years where a bomb exploded and this triggers fears that the community has been thriving ground for activities of terrorist wrecking havoc on outskirts of Federal Capital Territory.

As at noon when this reporter visited his house along with many sympathisers, he was attended to by a medical personnel who said he has to be allowed to take a long rest.

His wife who works with one of the security agencies couldn’t say how much was collected as ransom as the bandits refused negotiation with a woman.
Workers were seen in his compound repairing damages done to the premises by the forced entry of the bandits.

His next door neighbour, Mr. Eugene who was also kidnapped was released on health grounds.
Family sources revealed that Mr. Henry Oshogwe aka Buggie who was killed by the bandits will be transported to his home town in Auchi, Edo State on 7th June for burial in an announcement made by the Alubo 2 community on Wednesday morning.

Leaders of the community met on Tuesday evening at the Palace of the MaiAngwa, Mohammed Gambo to rejig the security structure of the community.
The community has been experiencing intense quietness since the bandits invaded it at 0100 hours of Tuesday
