Three indigenes from Obidi, Agwa in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, have been killed by thunderstorm on Tuesday.
A source from the area who simply identified himself as Chukwu, said four others were left in critical condition after the incident, following a brief rainfall that evening .
Palpable fear has gripped the entire community over the incident as most of its indigenes wonder why thunderstorm will take the lives of people especially as the rain was not heavy.

“It was just a small rain that fell yesterday, 8th April, and three people died instantly from a thunder that struck. Four other people are down. We have not seen this kind of thing before,” the source said.
Also, a video surfaced on the social media on Wednesday confirming the incident. People of the community were seen wailing and mourning over the incident. (Daily Sun)
