The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared Nigerian businesswoman, Aisha Achimugu wanted over alleged case of criminal conspiracy and money laundering.

This is coming few hours after the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar, cried out over alleged plot by President Bola Tinubu to implicate him and Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Atiku had in the statement made available yesterday, claimed Sanwo-Olu had been accused of providing money for his (Atiku’s) presidential campaign.

Sanwo-Olu, according to the former Nigerian Vice President, was alleged to have made the fund available through Achimugu now declared wanted by the EFCC.

In the statement signed by his media adviser, Paul Ibe, Atiku claimed he has never met Sanwo-Olu.

The PDP Chieftain held that the plot is a political hatchet job aimed at allegedly jettisoning the Lagos state governor, who he claimed to have fallen out of favour with the “Bourdillon Cult.”

Atiku further disclosed that the alleged plot is to get rid of Sanwo-Olu and to discredit the coalition being put together by the opposition political leaders.
