Says silence of Farmers amounts to a conspiracy
Gen Isola Williams
Former secretary of Transparency International,TI,Major General Isola Williams(retd) has picked holes in the decision of Ogun state government to register Herders in the state to reduce conflict and insecurity in the country.
It will be recalled that state Permanent Secretary Ministry of Agriculture, Mrs Kehinde Jokotoye, dropped hint of plans to register herders in the state on Tuesday.
In a chat with Newdawngr.com, General Williams said that the proposed policy is wrong adding,
“Instead of a Register of Owners of the Cows.
It is the Herders that are being registered.”
He said only the registration of owners of Cows could bring sanity into the system and resolve herders/farmers conflict that has caused lives.

Said he,”This is why I said we can resolve the problem in 3 months.”

He also questioned the silence of Farmers Union who he said are real stakeholders mostly affected by activities of the herders.
“Why are the Farmers Union quiet.
There is an ongoing conspiracy .
The farmers must act or continue with their suffering for over.
According to him, there is a conspiracy in the whole issue to continue to perpetuate the conflict with its consequences on safety of citizens and farmers who felt the pain more.
