…remains given mass burial
A total number of 86 persons have been confirmed dead in saturday’s tanker explosion at dikko junction and their remains given mass burial at a site not far from the scene of the tragic incident.

A statement by the Director General, Niger state emergency management agency, Abdullahi Baba Arah indicates that about 55 people sustained various degrees of injury and are currently receiving treatment at the Dikko primary health center.
While acknowledging the collaborative efforts of brave and kind hearted volunteers who worked till midnight to ensure that those that lost their lives were evacuated and other debris cleared from the scene, the director general said medical personnel had been deployed to the primary health facility in the area in compliance with the state government’s directive.
