For over thirty Couples-both young and old, it was an experience that will remain for a long time to come as they gathered last Friday to take a stock taking of their Union under the Theme: Come Let Us Reason Together.
For the Evangelist Tosin Martins led Word of Life Marriage Ministry, it was a divine breakthrough hosting such an assembly of men and women of the first Institutions created by God to do a stock taking of their Union.
It was indeed a time well spent inside the bowels of the The Redemption Church of God City,RCCG along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
For the excited couples, it was a time well spent away from the hustle and bustle of city life to reflect,learn and re-learn tips to successful marital life Under the ministration of Holy Spirit.
The 2- day Retreat was also a period to learn basic business tools for sustainable family living.
What is more,Managing Director of Optimus Bank,Dr Ademola Oderemi, taught the young and old Couples’ tips for managing family finances especially how to stay afloat in the rapidly changing economic environment.
Speaking on the topic,Building, Sustaining and Enjoying A Godly Home,Evangelist Tosin Martins counselled the couples on the need to ensure that their is built on Wisdom,Understanding and Knowledge citing Proverbs 24:3-4.
She urged couples to remember that Marriage is a blessing and a gift of God to humanity adding that God is against separation of marriage no matter the circumstance.

Said she,”Only the married build a home not those co-habiting and to do this you have to be intentional about your marriage because it is a ministry built by God for benefit of mankind.
In his own message,Dr Demola Odeyemi, the Managing Director of Optimum Bank who spoke on the topic,”Setting and Achieving Financial Goals in the family spoke on the need for Emotional maturity and compatibility among couples in order to achieve target goals.

He said this attributes are needed for the family to be intentional in their financial and expenditure profile adding,”budgeting helps you to live within your means.
As for him,every couple must have a good spending habit in order to achieve a Budget target build on trust and the word of God.

Speaking on the topic-The importance of Synergy between married couples,Apostles Martins,husband of the founder,spoke on the need for couples to always achieve Synergy among themselves and push away works of the devil for them to achieve purpose of God for marriage.
As for him,the devil is out to tempt couples to achieve disunity which he said is against what the scripture says in Mark 10:9..what God has joined together,let no man put asunder.
To achieve required synergy,Apostle Martins counselled couples to Pray together,build spiritual Intimacy and study the word of God using Ps 119:105 as a guidance in their journey to marital bliss.
“You have to form a bound and synergy that will ensure God’s blessings rest on your marriage and when their is misunderstanding work towards reconciliation.” He declared.
