The incumbent and candidate of the All Progressives Congress,APC, in the ongoing governorship election in Ondo State, Lucky Ayedatiwa, has won in all the results from the 13 local government areas announced so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
There are only five more LGAs to go as INEC announced a break from the collation of results to resume at 5am on Sunday.
The collation commenced at the State Headquarters of INEC at about 12:10am on Sunday.
The State Returning Officer for the election, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi, who is also the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Lokoja, Kogi State, formally opened the state collation.
After the announcement of the results from the 13th LGA, Akinwumi announced the break for the results from the remaining five LGAs: Akure North, Okitipupa and Odigbo, Ilaje and Eseodo.
He said: “We have five more local governments, but we are going to take our recess now until 5am to receive some receive from Akure North, Okitipupa and Odigbo, then Ilaje and Eseodo.
“We resume at 5am for these local governments.”
