For Media practitioners in the country and ogun state in particular,Monday was a day when they Organised a Media Rites of passage for Towulade of Akinale,Oba Olufemi Ogunleye,a veteran Journalist and Public Relations practitioner.
The event which also included Health Check and Cultural display also featured a day of Tribute by senior colleagues and top Media owners took place at Akinale Town where the monarch resigned for almost two decades.
The day of Tribute was chaired by Dr Niran Malaolu, former Editor and founder of Rock City FM, Chief Fassy Adetokunbo Yusuff, former Commissioner for Information in Ogun state, Mr Eddy Aina a retired Director in Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, Dr Kola Adesina,Head of Department of Mass Communication, Crescent University,Abeokuta, Executive of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR and other top media dignitaries.
The day also witnessed cultural displays and drama sketches to add colour and glamour to the first media Day of Tribute for the journalism and Public Relations icon.
